A Derby sweetmeat centrepiece
modelled with four figures of kneeling Blackamoors about a central pierced column surmounted with a circular shell dish, each figure holding a scallop-shell dish and wearing European dress, on scroll-moulded base, partially painted in colours and gilt, each shell dish painted to the interior with sprays of flowers, circa 1765 (replacement top section, minor damages) -- 24cm. high
