THREE MANJU NETSUKE AND A SMALL BOX
Edo period (19th century)
An ivory study of Okame in a bowl, with signature Ohara Mitsuhiro and dated mid-autumn 1840 on the reverse and with two unread seals beside Okame, 1½in. (3.5cm.); a tsuichu lacquer manju netsuke with Ebisu holding his mallet, the reverse with emblematic objects of the takaramono, 1/2in. (3.5cm.); another with Chinese scholars, 1¾in. (4.5cm.) and a small box similarly decorated, 15/8in. (4cm.) (4)
