Signed Kokusai (Asakusa, Edo), Edo Period (19th Century)
Carved in low relief with a stylised pine-tree bonsai and a roof-finial with a shachihoko [sea-monster], the reverse with a seal in low relief, carved with the signature Kokusai; the stopper carved with a stylised mon, partly openwork; stagshorn ojime carved as a pile of fish
