TWO ECHIZEN KINAI tsuba AND TWO OTHERS
Edo period (19th century)
A circular iron tsuba pierced and carved with two mushrooms and a stalk of rice with a ring attached to it, signed Echizen no ju Kinai saku, 7.9cm.; another unusually carved and pierced with eleven
flaming tama, signed Echizen no ju Kinai saku, 7.25cm.; an iron tsuba decorated with Jurojin standing under a plum tree watching his young acolyte teasing a crane, finely carved and inlaid in silver, gold and shibuichi, Nara School, 5.8cm.; and an oval iron tsuba finely carved in shishiai-bori and katakiri-bori with an egret wading beside a boat tied up to a river bank, signed, 7cm.
