AN IRON tsuba SIGNED YURAKUSAI (SEKIBUN) AND ANOTHER SIGNED KINAI
Late Edo period (19th century)
The first carved with Hotei, grinning as he looks out of his sack, his eyes and details in gold, the sack forming the outline of the rim, signed Yurakusai, and Sekibun in seal form, on the reverse, 6.95cm; the second circular, pierced and carved with a bundle of tokusa [scouring rush] within a circular rim, signed Echizen no ju Kinai saku, 7.4cm.
