Circa 1810, red script mark to cover
Oviform with a spreading foot and two shell-shaped handles, painted with the crest of a boar's head langed gules on a red and white torse between lavender-ground borders with gilt caillouté and meandering garlands of gilt foliage, the slightly domed cover with pierced gallery and looped dolphin finial (restoration to rim of cover and to one handle, wear to gilding)
