Lot Essay

A similar example was sold by Sotheby's on 12 June 1984, lot 200.
The scenes are most probably derived from Boucher, see Rosalind Savill, The Wallace Collection Catalogue of Sèvres Porcelain (1988), vol. II, pp. 657 and 660, C434-5 for an écuelle, cover and stand with similar decoration.
