A Sèvres (Hard Paste) yellow-ground two-handled soup-Tureen, cover and stand
Circa 1795, R F Sèvres marks, painter's mark of Binet, incised J and script G to stand
The wide yellow bands edged with chocolate-brown and gilt lines painted with a garland of pink roses entwined with blue ribbon, the circular tureen with white and gilt foliage-scroll handles, the cover with richly gilt artichoke and leek finial and with a band of red-berried foliage, the centre to the shaped oval stand with a bouquet of pink roses within a circular berried foliage cartouche and with shell and scroll-moulded handles enriched in brown and gilt (some rubbing to enamels on stand and rubbing to gilt rims, chip to footrim of tureen)
The stand 16½in. (42cm.) wide
