A Sèvres (hard paste) (later-decorated) oviform armorial jug
Circa 1840, the decoration slightly later and perhaps Russian, incised 39/4 and 2 and Al
The reeded gilt loop handle with stiff leaf terminal, painted with a band of garden flowers above an accolé coat-of-arms with ermine mantling, the shaped lip gilt with scrolling foliage, the lower part with radiating gilt leaves, on a stepped circular foot (slight chip to foot and slight rubbing to gilt rim)
