Mr. John Gledhill is preparing a catalogue raisonné of the oil paintings of Sir Matthew Smith as part of his D. Phil thesis. The catalogue will also be published as part of a major book on Sir Matthew Smith. The author has made every effort to trace all paintings by the artist, but the possibility remains that some may still be unrecorded.
