Two Meissen models of Rollers
Circa 1740, one with Pressnummer 26
Modelled by J.J. Kändler, with turquoise, blue and brown plumage and black tips to the wing feathers, one with its wings outstretched, the other pecking at a caterpillar, perched on tall tree-stump bases applied with leaves and caterpillars, one with a great-tit and the other with stag-beetle (each with one wing restored at join, one with two tips to wings and tips to one beak restored, the great-tit with restoration to tail, some chips and restoration to foliage and tree-stumps, horns to stag-beetle lacking)
