Circa 1745, blue crossed swords marks, Pressnummer 54 to stand
Of conventional type with cauliflower, asparagus and pierced gilt scroll handles, painted with loose bouquets within crisply moulded gilt scroll cartouches, the ground with scattered flower-sprays, the cover with putto and basket finial with trailing flower terminals (restoration to one handle and finial, star crack to cover)
The stand 17in. (43cm.) wide
