A Berlin part dinner and dessert service
Late 19th Century
Painted in puce camaieu with loose bouquets within borders of radiating trellis moulded with flowers divided by moulded gilt scrolling foliage cartouches within shaped gilt and puce foliage rims, comprising:
Two oval tureens and covers, 12½ in. (31.7 cm.) wide
A circular tureen, lacking cover, 12¼ in. (31 cm.) diameter
An oval sauce tureen and fixed stand, 9¾ in. (24.7 cm.) wide
Two large oval serving dishes, 20 1/8 in. (51 cm.) wide
A fish serving dish, 24 3/8 in. (61.8 cm.) wide
Two small circular serving dishes, 9¼ in. (23.5 cm.) diameter
A small shaped square serving dish, 9 in. (22.9 cm.) square
Thirty-six dinner-plates, two with very small rim chip, 9 7/8 in. (25 cm.) diameter
Eighteen soup-plates, one with small rim chip, 9¾ in. (24.7 cm.) diameter
Seventeen dessert-plates, 9¼ in. (23.5 cm.) diameter
Each with blue sceptre mark, iron-red orb KPM mark and puce pattern number 76 (81)
