A Satsuma reactangular vase and cover
painted and gilt with karashishi and cubs playing with brocade balls tied to ribbons, the shoulder with peony sprays on a dark blue ground -- 5½in. (14cms) high; and an ovoid jarlet similarly decorated -- 3in. (7.6cms) high.
