A pair of Satsuma blue ground vases
painted and gilt with panels of ladies on flowering riverbanks and families at leisure in landscapes of pine, bamboo and blossoming trees, on grounds reserved in gilt with stylised flowerheads, scrolling foliage and geometric designs -- 12in. (30.5cms) high; and a Satsuma plate decorated with two pheasants on a riverbank beneath maple trees and amongst flowers -- 10in. (25.5cms) diam, 19th century.
