Lot Essay

The Schuco 'Janus' teddy bear's head can be 'swapped' using a knob at the base of the torso. They share many characteristics with other miniature bears in Schuco's Piccolo Series, and were reproduced, from the 1950s until the 1970s, in a fractionally larger size, and were advertised as 'Original Schuco Talisman'.
