A pair of French ormolu-mounted Sevres-pattern dark-blue ground vases and covers
Second half 19th Century
The domed cover with berry and foliate-cast finial and with gilt band of fruit and flowers, above the tapering neck decorated with flower festoons and scrolling foliage, with a pair of scrolling acanthus-cast handles each with a music-playing putto at its stem, above the cylindrical body, one decorated with a scene of a Bacchic celebration, the other with maidens worshipping the goddess Ceres, on fluted lower section, circular spreading foot and shaped bead and foliate-cast plinth
