A fine antique Senneh rug, West Persia
The ivory field with overall stylised polychrome herati pattern around brick-red serrated pole medallion with similar design, shaded charcoal-black spandrels similar, in brick-red border of polychrome palmettes, rosettes and angular leafy vine between blue palmette vine, barber-pole and plain stripes, very slight localized wear and corroded black, partly loss of silk selvedge, minute loss at one end
