a louis xvi grey painted lit a la polonaise
Draped overall with tasseled ivory-coloured floral silk, the oval domed canopy hung with swags and with four metal scrolled supports covered by curtains, the bed with arched padded head and footboard, each with arched top and stop-fluted turned tapering legs headed by flowerheads, extended in length by 7in. (18cm.) and one side-rail broken and wormed, two curtains and the head and foot-board silk distressed, with one bolster cushion partically torn, redecorated.
Overall 124½ in. (316cm.) high; 86in. (218cm.) long; 57in. (145cm.) wide
