Two bronze figures of Caesar Augustus and Bacchus
French School, Third quarter 19th Century
The Emperor wearing battle costume, with toga wrapped over his arm, a putto astride a dolphin at his side; Bacchus wearing a vine-wreath in his long hair, and with drapery tied at his shoulder, each on a circular base and on a verde antico and black marble cylindrical plinth, unsigned, mid-brown patina
