The rectangular one piece case mounted with and urn finial, the white enamel dial with central Roman chapter ring flanked by subsidiary rings for day of week and date, signed in the centre LEROY & FILS H.RS PALAIS ROYAL 114 & 115 PARIS (cracks, chips to corners), the twin barrel movement with later platform escapement with plain flat rim balance, with countwheel strike on bell to the backplate with repeat signature, formerly on encrier base, now on an associated giltwood plinth, the clock case -- 4in. (10cm.) wide
