The balloon-shaped case with cross-banded border and central fan patera, raised on brass bracket feet, the circular brass dial applied with a silvered Roman chapter ring with Arabic five minutes and half hour markers, the matted centre with arched calendar aperture and shaped cut out for the signature Thomas Turner London, with blued steel hands, the five pillar twin wire fusee movement with anchor escapement and strike on gong -- 19in. (48cm.) high
