A George II style japanned longcase clock
The case decorated overall in gilt and red against a sea-green ground, the hood with stepped and moulded top and outset columns, with glazed side panels, the square top trunk door decorated with Chinese figures and birds amidst pagodas, on stepped plinth, the 10in. square dial with mask spandrels to a silvered chapter ring with half hour and half quarter hour markers, the matted centre with unusual star-shaped date aperture and subsidiary silvered seconds ring marked at five second intervals, the four pilllar rack striking movement with anchor escapement; case and dial 20th century, movement 18th century -- 79¾in. (203cm.) high

Lots will be available for collection following transfer to Cadogan Tate from the Friday 8 September and every week-day from 9.00a.m. to 5.00p.m.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THERE WILL BE NO CHARGE TO PURCHASERS WHO COLLECT THEIR LOTS WITHIN ONE WEEK OF THIS SALE.
On the Thursday 14 September a transfer and administration charge of £18.50 per furniture lot, and £9.25 per non-furniture lot; and a storage charge of £3.20 per furniture lot and £1.60 per non-furniture lot per day; will come into effect. These charges are payable to Cadogan Tate and are subject to VAT and an insurance surcharge.
Please note: All charges due to Cadogan Tate must be paid at the time of collection from their warehouse. Only payment by cash, credit card or bankers draft will be accepted.
