Banded overall and inlaid with simulated panels, the rectangular cornice above a pair of doors inlaid with cut-cornered shaped arches, enclosing a paper-lined part-fitted interior with two shelves above six small drawers and two further drawers, the middle section with a hinged flap inlaid with two shaped panels, enclosing a fitted sliding interior with three open compartments flanked by two drawers to either side, above a green leather-lined writing-surface with a porcelein inkwell and a sand-box, the base section with two short drawers above three long drawers, on later bracket feet, the divide between the doors later, restorations
