Lot Essay

Driving the Williams FWO7B Cosworth powered car sponsored by Leyland and Saudia Airlines, Jones took the World Championship with a convincing record of six victories, one result withheld after the Spanish Event at Jarama. The Team scored 120 points in total to clinch the Constructors Championship too, with his team mate Carlos Reuttemann. As with many drivers of that period, only a handful of helmets would have sufficed to cover several seasons, in testing, qualifying and races themselves.
