1959 SOLYTO TC 7 'TRI-CAMIONETTE'

Chassis No. 7244
Green with canvas roof and brown interior.

Engine: Ultima single cylinder, 2-stroke, 125cc; Gearbox: four speed and reverse; Brakes: four wheel cable operated; Suspension: cantilever leaf spring and swinging arms. Left hand drive.

This tiny utility vehicle was built by the long-established firm of New Map (who also built the Rolux Baby) in Lyon, France. It could be driven without a licence and was advertised as having a carrying capacity of 200kg, as well as being 'simple, robust, economical, fast, spacious and comfortable'! The maximum speed was 50kph and the Solyto was driven by a single cylinder, 125cc engine through a four-speed gearbox.

The TC-7 on offer today is in good all round condition which is commensurate with an older restoration, the paintwork being presentable and clean although not immaculate. The interior is in good condition and its minimal instrumentation complete and functioning. The brown roll-back canvas top has recently been replaced and the engine is described as running well.

It is sold with an old style French registration document.
