Summer afternoon, Palling Beach, Norfolk

Sea Palling is on the Norfolk coast, not far from Seago's home at The Dutch House in Ludham. The artist painted a large oil, The Beach at Palling (private collection) in which a similar family group sit in front of beached boats (see J.W. Reid, Edward Seago The Landscape Art, London, 1991, p. 27, pl. 18).
