The circular dial (with hairline crack) with gilt heightened rope-twist to the outer edge, with Arabic numerals on a powder blue ground, around a painted mediaeval battle scene, the hands modelled as a halberd and a pikestaff, mounted on bronze legs modelled as crossed laurel sprays, with halberd finial, the back leg with tied ribbon base, the single barrel movement with replaced lever escapement -- 24¾in. (62.8cm.) high
