A DUTCH SILVER TEA-URN
Maker's mark of Jan Buysen, Amsterdam, 1786
Pear-shaped and on three claw-and-ball feet with beaded borders, the lower body chased with water leaves, the bird-head spout with snake-form spigot, the shoulder applied with ribboned medallions with laurel garlands between, with angular wood handle and domed cover with similar decoration and vase-shaped finial, marked under base, also stamped with later Dutch control marks, missing two wooden foot supports
