The openwork silver-gilt oak-leaf foot-mount on four boar feet, the scroll handles cast and chased with the figure of the goddess Diana, a parrot and oak-branches, the hinged domed cover chased and applied with a winged putto, fox, stag and lion's masks and oak-branches, all on a simulated coral ground, with parrot and oak-leaf thumbpiece, the spool-shaped finial surmounted by a rearing horse and a man, marked on cover and neck mounts
