Of barrel form, the tapering cylindrical body with scroll bracket handle, flat hinged cover and openwork shell thumbpiece, the body chased with reeded bands, the cover with reeded border and shaped front and engraved with crest, the base engraved with the inscription 'W.P to J.C 1786', marked on base and cover and engraved with scratchweight '42=13'
