London, 1685, maker's mark IC with mullet beneath
Tapering cylindrical and on moulded rim foot, the scroll handle with shaped oblong terminal, the hinged slightly domed cover with latticework and foliate scroll thumbpiece, the lower part of the body chased with a band of alternating water-leaves and acanthus foliage, the cover with similar border, reeded rim, and shaped front, the body engraved with a coat-of-arms within foliage mantling, marked on body, cover and handle
