A WILLIAM IV SILVER-GILT FIVE-PIECE TEA AND COFFEE-SERVICE WITH TRAY
Maker's mark of Robert Hennell, London, 1837
Comprising a coffee-pot, teapot, cream-jug, open sugar-bowl, and circular salver, each lobed baluster on four acanthus-capped scroll feet, the body chased with floral wreaths centering a Viscount's coat-of-arms on each side, the leaf-capped scroll handle with ivory insulators, the hinged cover with an acorn finial, the circular salver with four feet, moulded shell and scroll rim, the field flat-chased with flowers and engraved with a Viscount's coat-of-arms, fully marked, also stamped with later French control marks; together with a pair of William IV silver-gilt sugar tongs realistically modelled as a flowering branch with bees, ladybug and acorns, with maker's mark of Paul Storr, London, 1836
