A large red lacquer sake cup
decorated in gold and silver hiramaki-e and takamaki-e with two carp among aquatic weed -- 7.7/8in. (20cm) diam., signed Jitokusai Gyokuzan, (losses and cracks); a set of three red lacquer sake dishes decorated in gold and silver hiramaki-e with cranes in flight above pine -- 3½in. (9cm) diam, max., signed by Ito; another set of three decorated in black and gold hiramaki-e with leaping carp in foaming waves -- 4½in. (11.4cm) diam., max., signed; and four odd cups variously decorated in gold hiramaki-e with geese, irises, feathers and a mountainous landscape scene -- 4¼in. (10.8cm) diam. max., two signed made by Koma, all 19th Century, (some with slight rubbing).
