A gold lacquer tapering rectangular kogo
and domed cover, decorated in hiramakie and takamakie as a stringed koto with ho-o, flowers, foliage, wood grain and geometric pattern, nashiji interior, on stepped bracket feet -- 9¾in. (24.8cm) long, 19th Century, (one foot damaged, minor chips and cracks).
