A Japanese lacquer rectangular box
and domed cover, decorated in gold and silver hiramakie, takamakie, togidashi, kirigane, nashiji and inset aogai with cranes in flight above a bridge over water beside willow and fishing baskets, the reverse with a ferry boat laden with passengers and huts beneath pine, pewter rims, nashiji interior -- 16¼in. (41.3cm) wide, 18th/19th Century, (chips, losses, old wear).
