A Korean black lacquer box with hinged lid,
the exterior decorated with lotus flowers and formal borders inlaid in mother of pearl and tortoiseshell amidst scrolling stems of twisted metal wire, with interior tray, brass lock and handles -- 12½in. x 8½in. (32cm. x 21.5cm.), 17th Century, (old restoration, cracks and associated chips and losses).
