the beast standing four square facing forwards with its ears pricked, mouth slightly open and tongue protruding, traces of red and white pigments remaining -- 22¼in. (56.5cm.) high, Tang Dynasty, (some damages and restoration).

Thermoluminescence Test Number C100f76 is consistent with the dating of this lot.
