The case, in the style of James McCabe, with reeded handle to the top with push repeat button and large bevelled glass, moulded cornice above bevelled glass sides, solid rear door with shutters to the winding and the hand-set apertures, the white enamel white chapter disc signed Barraud & Lund, Cornhill, London, 1987 with blued steel hands, the gilt mask engraved with flowers and foliate scrolls on a hatched ground, the five pillar twin chain fusee movement with Harrison's maintaining power, large gilt platform with free sprung cut bimetalic compensated balance with lever escapement, strike/trip repeat on a gong of circular section fixed to the backplate signed Barraud & Lund Cornhill. London. 1987; with the original mahogany travelling case with baize interior
