The case with handle and pineapple finials to the bell top, later pierced mahogany sound frets to the sides, gilt-metal foliate cast quarter frets to the door and on brass bracket feet, the dial signed J.Northey, Brick Lane, Spitalfields, No.181 in the silvered centre, pierced blued steel hands, silvered chapter ring, foliate spandrels, strike/silent ring in the arch, the five pillar twin wire fusee movement with knife-edge verge escapement and strike on a bell, the backplate engraved with a basket of fruit and profusely engraved with foliage
