Case with swan-neck pediment flanked by gadrooned urn finials and centred by a plain urn-and-ball finial, the broken arch resting on detached reeded columns flanking the door with reeded pilasters flanked by beeded moulding, the dentilled door frieze applied with foliate carved cresting above the Gothic-arched trunk door flanked by fluted quarter columns, the plinth applied with a hollow-cornered panel to the front flanked by chamfered angles with carved beaded moulding, ogee bracket feet, the dial signed John Kent, Manchester, on a silvered arc above the painted rolling moonphase, the dial with silvered Roman and Arabic chapter ring with pierced steel hands, the florally engraved centre with subsidiary seconds and calendar rings, ringed winding holes, foliate spandrels, the four pillar movement with anchor escapement and rack strike on a bell
