A gilt-brass year-going skeleton timepiece with calendar and world time
Unsigned, probably French, circa 1860
The silvered regulator dial with calendar windows for the days within the hour ring, date by chapter 45, month within the seconds ring and the year by chapter 15, the world time dial below with outer silvered twice XII chapter ring with the rotating central disc engraved with seventy-two cities around the world, the gilt scroll frame with four main spring barrels and duplex platform escapement with cut bimetallic compensated balance with blued steel helical hairspring on later? rectangular base with foliate cast feet and bevelled glass brass-framed cover
