The tondo, in black-figure, with a satyr running to the right, his feet evenly spaced on the encircling black band, his hands thrust forward, his head turned back, each side of the exterior with a pair of large eyes beneath arching brows framing a small diamond-shaped nose, with a pair of elegant fan-palmettes flanking both handles, and an incised fillet between stem and bowl
