AN ATTIC RED-FIGURED KALPIS

With a three-figure scene, a youth in the center with a wreath in his long hair, wearing a mantle draped around his waist and over his left shoulder, a forked branch in his left hand, and holding out a phiale towards the woman to the left who is clad in a chiton and himation, an oinochoe in her lowered right hand, her hair loosely gathered at the back of her head, the maiden to the right similarly clad, walking to the right but looking back, her forearms raised; a band of meander with crossed-squares below, a band of palmettes and lotus above, and a band of egg on the rim and around the handle-joins
