A GREEK POTTERY DOUBLE VASE
circa mid 5th century b.c.
Both vessels of globular form with a cylindrical neck and a disk foot, both with a single perforation on the underside for use as a strainer, the vessels joined by a mold-made female protome, a polos in her center-parted wavy hair, with almond-shaped eyes, her lips pursed into a slight smile, preserving white pigment for the face and red for the hair, the vessels with red-painted dolphins on a white ground
