The central rectangular-cut emerald surrounded by smaller rectangular-cut emeralds to an openwork scroll surround with cushion-cut diamond collet scrolls flanked by two pear-shaped emeralds, to a three-row circular-link neckchain with S-shaped clasp, circa 1890, 38.0cm. long
With maker's stamp Mrs N for Mrs Philip Newman (1870-1910), English goldsmith, jeweller and designer, pupil of John Brogden
