AN ANATOLIAN KULTEPE TERRACOTTA CUNEIFORM TABLET AND ENVELOPE
circa 19th century b.c.
The square-shaped tablet with twenty-two rows of an Old Assyrian cuneiform inscription, a letter "to Shu-belaum, tablet of Ashur-lamassi" regarding a copper consignment, "I said, 'You sent seven talents, fifty minas of copper to Shu-belum. Why were twenty minas deducted?' You said, 'The twenty minas...'", contained within an envelope preserving eight partial cylinder seal impressions, of Provincial Babylonian style; together with a fragment of another sealed and inscribed envelope
