Inlaid overall with boxwood lines, the moulded arched cresting centred by a half-fan motif in satinwood above a simulated-fluted frieze and a pair of geometrically-glazed doors, enclosing six short shelves, above a secretaire-drawer enclosing four drawers above eight pigeon-holes flanking a harewood and satinwood-inlaid door and leather-spined simulated book-drawers, above a green baize writing-surface, the lower section with a pair of oval-inlaid doors, enclosing three folio slides, on later ogee bracket feet, the reverse of the upper section inscribed in blue chalk '32', the reverse of the lower section indistinctly inscribed in chalk, restorations
