a Charles II trefid spoon with a ribbed rat-tail, in a corroded state (probably excavated from a river or the earth), no maker's mark visible, 1676 - 20cm long; together with a George I tablespoon, 1717; a wavy-end or dog-nose tablespoon by William Scarlett, circa 1700, (marks worn); a George II tablespoon, 1743; and an 18th century Dutch tablespoon, (marks worn).
