The rectangular section pencase with rounded terminals, one hinged, each engraved with scrolling gold-washed floral panels, the slightly barrel-shaped truncated rectangular inkwell with hinged cover with inset stone, the hinge fashioned in the form of arms terminating in hands, the base and leading edges engraved with scrolling floral designs, marked with tughra of Mahmud II on the base and side and signed amel-i Vehbi
